We’ve found a tool that will show you exactly how much of your time has been spent watching your favourite TV shows. And it won’t be pretty.
I’ve just discovered that 3 whole days of my life have been spent binging on Game of Thrones, 3.2 days have been spent watching How I Met Your Mother, and a massive 3.7 days, when I definitely should have been focusing on my university degree, were spent sat in front of Lost, only to be wildly disappointed by the ending (who’s with me?!).
You can also calculate the total amount of time you’ve spent wiling away the hours in front of the TV. Just select every TV series you’ve ever watched, and exactly how many times you’ve watched it, and you’ll calculate results you won’t be proud of (but will probably show off about anyway). For example, a cracking combination of That ’70s Show, Friends (at least thrice) and The Office (American version, duh), plus all the other programmes I have dedicated my days to, have taken me a grand total of 4.6 weeks to get through. That’s 32.3 days, 776 hours and 388 nights (if I were watching for 2 hours a night). Phewwwwf! I must say, this has really inspired me to get off my arse and do something more productive with my life. Right after I finish Big Little Lies…
Here’s the calculator if you want to have a play. Just be warned, it may cause severe disappointment in oneself.
