Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen has launched a new summer menu in their Allotment to inspire Londoners to pull out their green thumb and dine on fresh produce.
The Allotment is quite literally, an allotment. It’s Bread Street Kitchen’s new green oasis and with hanging plants, herbs in every corner and an array of green foliage, it really does feel like you’re out in a lovely urban garden.
And of course, with a new feature comes a brand spanking new menu. We recommend the BBQ mixed grill plate with spiced rum glaze for the perfect mix of savoury, sweet and oh so sticky. And who knew that blueberries, coriander seed and Bombay Sapphire worked so well alongside smoked salmon? Make sure you leave room for the Earl Grey and cinnamon chocolate mousse though (FYI it’s disguised as a charming plant pot).
If you’re looking for a tasty cocktail then The Grey Goose Grand Le Fizz is almost as grand as its name and is a refreshing after-work mix of vodka, champagne, raspberries and cucumber. All cocktails have elements of the garden within them so pick a refreshing Sunshine Ricky for an expertly mixed delight of gin, lime, sage and orange bitters.
Alongside a great menu of botanical meals and cocktails, guests can dine in the cutest little greenhouse we’ve ever seen in a restaurant … we haven’t seen any but our standards are now very high.
For £65 per person, guests can have a private dining experience with a 5-course tasting menu that centres around the humble tomato. The oysters and bull shot salsa are an experience like no other whilst other highlights include tomato tartare and green tomato gazpacho.
With family-friendly ‘Pick Your Own Pizza’ masterclasses, a photobooth and screenings of some of the summer’s best sporting events, The Allotment makes a great little summer escape from the bustle of the city.
