Just when you thought they were done, All Points East goes and adds more amazing acts.
Last month, we found out that a stonking ten-day music festival was headed to Victoria Park in 2018. Before the dust had even settled, it turned out that Lorde, Bjork, and LCD Soundsystem had joined the lineup for All Points East.
Today’s trio form the second of the three mega-concerts that will close the festival. (The National, supported by The War On Drugs, Future Islands, Warpaint and The Districts comprise the first.) Taking the headline slot on Sunday June 3rd is Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. The Aussie balladeer finished his sixteenth studio album earlier this year, so you can expect to hear a mix of new and old at this show.
Queen of punk Patti Smith is the main support act, with singer-songwriter St Vincent also on the lineup.
Tickets for Nick n’ friends (or APE Presents… Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, as it’s officially called) go on sale this Friday at 9am, and you can get ’em here. The full festival lineup, which also includes The XX, Lykke Li, and Father John Misty, can be found here.
