West London’s Quirkiest Pub Is Back From The Ashes

The circus-themed Aeronaut in Acton has re-opened, 11 months after a devastating fire.

The Aeronaut is one of those one-of-a-kind venues. While some boozers might opt for a small stage with a glitter curtain or perhaps a few tables out the front, this Acton venue boasts a full circus-style big top AND a carnival-themed beer garden. It’s awesome.

Unfortunately, though, last year’s New Year’s Eve party ended in disaster when, shortly after midnight, an accidental fire broke out inside the venue.

Although nobody was hurt, it quickly spread throughout the entire building, leaving only a burnt-out shell.

This was quite the show-stopper for the much-beloved pub, which has been shut ever since. UNTIL NOW!

For after eleven months of rebuilding, we’re happy to announce that The Aeronaut has risen, phoenix-like, from the ashes, and is open for business (and aerial acrobatics) once more.

The sign is once more glowing.

But listen, guys – we’re really not sure this is the best choice of cocktail.

Dan from the Aeronaut told us: ‘We were all devastated after the fire, but we had the most amazing support from the people of Acton, and our customers from across London. People even offered to house the management team who lived upstairs and lost everything. We felt so much affection from the community that we knew we had to rebuild the Aeronaut as quickly as we could.’

So, why not welcome the Aeronaut back to London’s alternative nightlife scene by paying them a visit? Dan says ‘we’ve got some truly talented people on the line-up and we’ve thrown in a few surprises along the way too…’ Plus, they’re even hosting a series of nights featuring music and performances inspired by Tarantino, which seems pretty fun to us.

Find the Aeronaut at 264 Acton High Street, W3 9BH. Nearest stations: Acton Town or Acton Centra. Visit their website for details.
