We told you back in January that 2016 was set to see the world’s tallest and longest slide be built in London. Even then, we didn’t quite believe it ourselves. But now, good people of London, we can confirm that construction for the slide in the Olympic park is underway!
The first pieces of The Slide @AMOrbit have been lifted into place. Tickets on sale in the next few weeks! pic.twitter.com/l86iWiGAdz

The slide, which will wrap around the Orbit 12 times, will cost £5 per person per go (on top of entry admission to the park). But looking at the first pieces being fit into place, we can’t help but get butterflies of excitement.
