6 Of The Prettiest Gin And Tonics In London
Don’t pretend this isn’t the most important article you’ve ever read.
It’s certainly the most important article we’ve ever written.
It’s World Gin & Tonic Day and, after Christmas and birthdays, it’s the third most exciting day in the calendar. Of course you can drink gin on any day of the year, but when there’s an entire 24 hours dedicated to the saintly juniper juice, the only way to do it is in style. Here are 6 of the prettiest G&Ts in the city:
1. Graphic Bar, Golden Square
With one of the UK’s largest selections of gin, there’s no surprise that Graphic has made the list.
4 Golden Square, Soho, W1F 9HT
2. The Distillery, Portobello Road
The distillery is an entire hotel dedicated to gin. We repeat, an entire hotel dedicated to gin. Head to their Spanish-inspired bar and restaurant on the first floor, GinTonica, to find fancy G&Ts and tasty tapas.
186 Portobello Road, W11 1LA
3. Galley, Islington
Galley has a GINormous menu dedicated to G&Ts. Our favourite is the G’Vine Floraison with frozen grapes, but they’re all a work of art.
105-106 Upper Street, N1 1QN
4. Ben’s Canteen, Various Locations
This one comes with a raving review from one of the Secret London team. And the best thing about it? Between 5-7pm Monday to Fridays, it’s 2-4-1 on G&Ts (and other drinks but who cares?).
Clapham Junction and Earlsfield.
5. Graveney Gin, Tooting Market
Tucked away in Tooting Market, Graveney Gin is not only a bar but also a tiny weeny distillery. Learn about the gin making process, the history of gin and, most importantly, try lots of pretty G&Ts with their signature botanicals, such as pink peppercorns and goji berries.
21-23 Tooting High St, SW17 0SN
6. The Viaduct Tavern, St Paul’s
This period pub is actually the capital’s last surviving Victorian gin palace. In honour of this, their menu is packed full of signature G&Ts. Oh and, at the rear of the bar, you’ll even find an old booth where punters used to buy gin tokens from the landlady!
