We’ve all been there: desperately trying to come up with a plan for a big weekend while your mates give you radio silence.

But, never fear, for that’s why Secret London was conceived – to help all you inspiration starved Londoners make big plans at short notice. So, we’ve come up with seven fantastic ideas to make this weekend one to remember…

1. Style it out at an Infernos silent disco (Friday 29th Sep)

Ah Infernos, the cheesy-fun night out mecca of south London and also the home to this epic silent disco night. If you’ve never experienced the thrill of amusement you get when you take off your headphones during a silent disco, then you have to try this one. Cheap and cheerful guilty pleasure-style fun from your favourite club in the capital (don’t even try to pretend that it’s not). Get your tickets here.

2. Get dressed up for a secret prohibition party (Saturday 30th Sep)

If you’re looking for a big night out, you’ve still got time to cobble together a costume worthy of the great Jay Gatsby himself. Experience 1920s style hedonism in the incredible vaults under Waterloo station. Get your tickets here.

3. Go and watch some footie (Sunday 1st Oct)

Simple, yet effective. The Arsenal vs Brighton game this weekend at the Emirates Stadium is not one to be missed. Get your team together and enjoy an afternoon of friendly competition. Get your tickets here.

4. Attend the Studio 338 garden closing party (Saturday 30th Sep)

The Studio 338 Garden is closing down for winter, so they’re sending us off (and celebrating the end of the summer) with one last hurrah. The line up includes 6th Borough Project, Dinky, Martinez, and Scott Martin so it’s set to be a pretty huge night! Get your tickets here.

5. Fun run your way through London (Sunday 1st Oct)

If you’re looking for something a little less boozy and a little more active you might want to put your running shoes on and limber up for this historical themed fun run. It’s only 10k (famous last words) but – more importantly – it’s all for a laugh, so you don’t need to worry too much about intensive training. With plenty of distractions along the way, you can discover the history of Henry VIII’s marriages at your own pace! Get your tickets here.

6. Attend a block party (Saturday 30th Sep)

Protein’s annual (ever popular) block party is back, filled with food stalls, tombola, DJs, bars, and activities. The best part is all profits from the event are going straight to Amnesty International, so you can enjoy a pint while also making a difference. Win win! There’ll be food offerings from Bel Air, Kolkati, Nanny Bill’s, and the lovely, ice lolly legends Lickalix. The party runs from noon until 8pm and you’ll find it at New Inn Yard, Shoreditch, EC2A 3EY.

7. Attend a secret Shoreditch rave (Saturday 30th Sep)

Another end of summer blowout, this one featuring all the neon-coloured fun you could imagine! 93 Feet East is being transformed with glow sticks, body painters, unicorns and glitter fairies – yes those actually do exist. Expect cutting edge house and techno music alongside dazzling dancers and live acts. Get your tickets here.

Lily fell in love with London after visiting the Natural History Museum on a day-trip from Bristol (aged four) and she’s never looked back. She’s a sucker for smashed avo’ and poached egg on toast, and she just can’t help herself from frequently posting pictures of her food on Instagram.
