With the Night Tube being an actual real-life, non-imaginary thing from 19th August, we’re going to be out and about way later than we’re used to. So eating habits are going to change all round, but don’t worry you little nocturnal guzzlers you! We’ve listed a few late night eating spots that are slightly more palatable than your corner chicken or kebab shop.
1. Three Eight Four, Brixton
This small plates restaurant and cocktail bar is situated on the bustling Coldharbour Lane. They offer an array of small dishes to cater to all sorts of tastes. Try their slow-cooked beef brisket served on brioche, crispy avocado wontons or garlic butter prawns.
Times: Open until 2am – Thursday to Saturday

2. Duck and Waffle, Moorgate
It will take you 40 seconds to reach the 40th floor of the Heron Tower which is home to this eclectic restaurant (if you take the elevator of course…stairs might take 40 hours). Praised for it’s views, all-day dining, captivating menu and decor, this place is a must try.
Times: They are open 24 hours however there is no service between 5am and 6am.

3. Café TPT, China Town
This little gem is tucked away in the heart of Chinatown. It caters for the adventurous and the stock-standards. Their menu is vast and in amongst the usual Chinese dishes you’ll find some odd balls like “stir-fried morning glory”…Sounds like my kinda ! The food is tasty and well priced for the reasonably large portions served.
Times: The last seating is at 12.30am daily. Restaurant closes at 1am.

4. El Camion, Soho
These jolly Mexicans offer a late night menu that includes tacos, quesadillas and burritos – all of this is available until 2am ¡Ay, caramba! Nothing like a little spice in your life in the early hours.
Time: Food available until 2.30am Wednesday to Saturday

5. Meat Liquor, Marylebone
Cheese steaks, “Bingo wings”, chilli dogs and burgers sum up the Southern style cooking found at Marylebone’s MeatLiquor. Exactly the kind of mouth-watering, heart stopping food you want after a few too many work drinks. It’s dark and loud in here no matter what the time so it’s probably not ideal for a romantic late-night date.

5. Hubbard and Bell, Holborn
This all-day restaurant situated in the heart of Holborn is home to an open kitchen that will serve a little something for everyone at any hour. Treat yourself to seafood, burgers, pastas, salads, small plates and grilled meats – whatever you’re craving around 3am! They also offer stunning breakfast dishes and a weekend brunch.
