You’re skint. That goes without saying. But your mum deserves something more than a plastic flower (nicked from your local) and a card scribbled on the back of a receipt – ? And because we know that last minute panic all too well, we’ve decided to treat you lot with a gift this year too. The gift being…a list of some very kind, and very yummy, places where your mum can eat for free. For FREE we tell you! And who said there’s no such thing as a free meal. Actually, come to think of it…having had to put up with you for all these years, we’d say she’s definitely put in the hours!
1. The House of Ho, Fitzrovia
[To Work Or Play]This Mother’s Day, the newly opened The House of Ho invites mothers to dine in style with a complimentary three-course modern Vietnamese feast. From Chef Director Ian Pengelley, priced at £30 a head, this delicious treat consists of two set menus to choose from, of which one includes dishes such as Robata Grilled Scallops with Spiced Crème Fraiche, Perilla Leaf and Nouc Cham orRoast Duck and Lychee Curry with Lime Leaf and Peanuts. You have to dine with a minimum of three other people in order for your mum to eat for free…but by the looks of it, we don’t think that’s going to be a problem! Mouthwatering and eye-watering (because your mum will be so happy…) what more could you want?!

2. Asia de Cuba, St Martins Lane
[TheArcadiaOnline]Fusion restaurant, Asia de Cuba on St Martins Lane, have got the right idea when it comes to spoiling mum. Combining the traditions of Cuba and China, this Sunday all mothers who dine in the restaurant will receive an Asian inspired bespoke bouquet of flowers (courtesy of Laura Kuy Flowers) and a Cuban inspired postcard. And, if that’s not enough, a feast of succulent Cuban Roast served with a selection of Asian-fusion sides (we’re talking citrous ceviches, fresh salads, cuban style slow roasted pork or lamb, mini doughnuts and a guava whipped cheesecake). So, bring your madre along with a family of 4 or more and let the special lady dine for free!

3. The Breakfast Club
[The Wander Blogger]In their words, not ours: your mum loves a sausage on a Sunday. We don’t really know what to say to that…except that it’s probably true and therefore you should bring your yummy mummy (and some ID to prove that you’re actually related as unfortunately that unusually placed birthmark/jazzy hairline that could have only come from her, won’t cut it) down to any one of the Breakfast Club’s branches this Sunday where she can enjoy her main meal for FREE!
