Twumps Bar is opening in Shoreditch and you guessed it, it’s a pop-up bar with a Trump Tower theme. And it’s all in the name of charity …
It’s safe to say, the political climate at the moment is pretty darn tense so why not take the edge off with a cocktail or two at Twumps Bar.
Run by The Human Collective, these guys are all about setting up fun London pop-ups with an underlying focus on charity. Sounds like something Trump would be proud of right?
The bar itself stocks local London booze from places such as The East London Liquor Company and guests can choose to sip on cocktails like The Mexican Wall Margarita or a Paris Deal Prosecco. 50p from every drink you buy will be donated to a small collection of charities and with names as punny as these, they can happily take our money.
The charities involved range from TellMAMA who measure Anti-Muslim attacks to Marie Stopes International. These are all charities that have been picked due to their important links to human rights, women’s reproductive rights and many other things Trump has been known to support wholeheartedly, of course.
The people over at Twumps Bar say “We don’t know how to change the world – but we do know how to drink, and how to dance” and that sounds pretty great to us.
Find Twumps Bar on August Thursday 17th: 7pm – 12pm, Friday 18th: 7pm – 1am and Saturday 19th: 2pm – 1am at RICH MIX, 35 – 47 Bethnal Green Road, near Shoreditch High Street station, E1 6LA.
