You Can Chill Beneath A Big, Beautiful Moon In London Tonight

Museum of the Moon

Hello, moon.

The Greenwich & Docklands International Festival kicked off yesterday, with a programme full of cultural events running for two weeks until July 8th.

One that’s caught our eye almost immediately is this gorgeous lunar installation in the gardens of the Royal Observatory:

Created by Luke Jerram, the ‘Museum of the Moon’ is a seven metre globe detailed with NASA’s imagery of the moon’s surface.

It’s free to visit during the day…

But after dark it becomes even more magical.

At night, there are two moon ‘showings’ at 10pm and 11pm, with accompanying soundtrack from dance music duo Humanhood. Tickets are £11.04 and can be purchased here. Sadly, it’s only on June 23 and June 24, so you’ll need to get a shuffle on.

Enjoy the moon, London!
