Who doesn’t love a good afternoon tea? And who can resist one when it’s themed around Lewis Carroll’s Alice In Wonderland?
If you’ve not heard of the Mad Hatter’s Afternoon Tea at The Sanderson, allow us to inform you of the ingenuity of it all.
Inspired by Alice In Wonderland and the potions Alice samples, this afternoon tea has been created for the young at heart. The menu comes to you in vintage books and includes unconventional additions such as a smoked salmon Scotch quail’s egg and a mini ham and parmesan Croque Monsieur alongside your scones and whatnot.
The Mad Hatter’s Afternoon Tea is served all year round and changes seasonally. After recently relaunching, the new menu features a mocha chessboard gateau, a Tweedle Dee lemon curd financier, a blue caterpillar made of chocolate and pistachio and even a ‘Drink Me’ potion with cinnamon, apple and peach.
Thirsty? There are specially selected teas that are inspired by the characters and various champagnes and cocktails to wash it all down with.
Prepare for an afternoon tea worth falling down a rabbit hole for.
