Best Combo Ever? There’s A Toasties And Prosecco Café In London

What better way to celebrate the weekend (or a Monday, whatever) than a trip to perhaps the best London hybrid coffee shop yet – N17! London’s first, and only, Toasties and Prosecco Café…

Owner, Tapiwa, is originally from Zimbabwe, but moved to London at the age of 10 and lived in Tottenham before opening up his N17! Coffee Shop on 560 Tottenham High Street last year. And it’s a pretty toasty venture. The layout comes with cool Cuban vibes to go with its hot-melted-cheese-and-bubbles concept…

It’s a self-styled café, but N17! specialises rather more heavily on alcoholic slushies than it does on coffee beans (no complaints here). What’s more, the small menu doesn’t come with laugh-out-loud London coffee shop prices, all toasties and drinks are no more than a fiver!

You can get a ‘More Rum Please Sir!’ or a ‘Pinkie in the Air’ slushie for £5, so it looks like happy hour is every hour! But then there’s the ACTUAL happy hour when slushies, or glasses of bubbles, are suddenly, magically, £3.50 every Monday between 6-7pm.

The toasties themselves aren’t too shabby either. A ‘Salt Beef “Simple”‘ comes brimming with salt beef, cheese combo, confit de figues, fois grois and peppers…

And the ‘Oi Gordinho’ (that’s ‘hi chubby’ to us) is stuffed with ricotta, praline, cinnamon and banana and served in yoghurt bread…

Plus, there’s always a couple of specials like the ‘Big K’ (brie and guava merger) and ‘The Hottie’ (a mix of avo, cheese combo, and a little bit of spice). Oh and super cute customised blackboards…

Booking is welcome, so get your toastie and prosecco loving pals together for a National Toast Day that will leave you feeling all gooey inside and won’t burn a hole in your wallet.
