You may remember us telling you about BallieBallerson, the adult ball pit that rocked up in East London last November. Well, here we are again with some more exciting news… BallieBallerson is going all glow in the dark on us and rebranding themselves as GlowyMcGlow. They have a new dancefloor made of 10k LED lights that changes colour in time with the music, and it’s covered with 250k transparent balls. So you can still get, er, balls deep in balls, but this time they are luminous. Oh and — top secret — a little birdie told us that something really exciting is going to be happening with the old balls, so keep your eyes peeled…

Upstairs you’ll find a glow in the dark mural charged with UV light blasts, and every hour the room goes into full-on rave mode for five minutes. There is also be an out-of-this-world cocktail menu themed around the planets, and they are nothing like you’ve ever seen before. We tried the Mars, made with rum, aperol, chilli, passionfruit and flaming cinnamon and the Neptune, made with vodka, blueberry, liquid nitrogen and charcoal foam. Also on the menu is the Saturn, made with gin, lime and garnished with a helium balloon, and the Uranus, which changes its taste entirely once you’ve popped a Miracle Berry pill (sounds pretty dodgy but it’s all very safe and legal, we promise).

Tickets are now for sale on Fever, and GlowyMcGlow events will start tonight (10 February). Fever are also selling VIP tickets for 6 people (including a table and a bottle of Prosecco), but only one per session… so get in there quick!

Georgie lives in East London and has noticed that she's become slightly more hipster since moving to E1. She's a frequent visitor of trendy cafés and is all too familiar with the extortionate price of a coffee in the capital. She enjoys the finer things in life (like red wine on a school night and eating Ben and Jerry's straight from the tub) and hasn't quite grasped the concept of adulthood yet. She'll get there eventually but, until then, she'll continue to ring her parents for advice on how to manage her finances.
