We’re hanging on until pay day, but that doesn’t mean we have to sit around weeping in our expensive, sweltering hot flats (cupboards), watching the Celebrity Masterchef final and trying to imagine we’re eating something other than microwaved scrambled egg & beans. Don’t give up on London altogether just yet – there are still things you can afford.
A fuss-free bar and kitchen, perfect for relaxed vibes and unpretentious food in a central location. In this special offer, which is available to book on Fever, you can choose a cocktail, alongside a main dish and a starter or desert. Options include tender BBQ pork ribs, calamari with fries and halloumi wraps. If your office is in Soho, Jerusalem is an ideal spot for a chilled-out evening wind down after work. Oh, and FYI, there’s also happy hour until 10pm.

For £15: Spend Friday Night on the Rooftop
Even if you’re scrimping towards the end of the month, you’ll be surprised but certainly pleased to know that you can still find yourself somewhere glamorous on a Friday night. Even if you don’t consider yourself the ‘glamorous’ type, it’s hard not to see the attraction of the 1.5 acres of elevated botanical paradise of The Roof Gardens. Located above Kensington High Street, entry to The Roof Gardens is only £15 and included in the price is a welcome drink (if you arrive between 8 and 9pm). Book your place for Friday night here.

For £19.60: Whole Native Lobster at La Brasserie
Lobster is a decadent treat that we often deny ourselves (or just avoid thinking about altogether). You’d assume that lobster in London would be as expensive as it comes, however, La Brasserie in Chelsea are proving us all wrong. They’re serving up a whole, fresh and extremely meaty native lobster for under £20, which you can book through Fever here. Don’t expect a limp, unsatisfying shellfish either, despite the pleasant price, the quality is superb.

From £20: 3 Course Dining at Banyan on the Thames
