Tonight, folks, gender is not on the agenda! Anything glitter, glam and glorious – Shante, you stay.

1. Sink the Pink

[Sink The Pink]
Sink the Pink is East London’s most outrageous LGBT family, throwing some of the best parties around for everyone and anyone that wants a night of cheesy (*great*) music, wild dancing (on-stage and off) and lots and lots of glitter. Fired up by Amy Zing and Glyn Famous, aka Donatella and Lagerfeld, eight years ago, it  has since grown into a infamous mega-mix of live music and shows, polysexual performers and general (and more often than not, interactive) rambunctiousness. The drag shows are of course the highlight of the evening – if beautiful bearded men in stunning homemade costumes working prepared routines with the garishness and sass that only their make up outshines isn’t your idea of heaven, then we don’t know what is. But there is also a lot more going on…including…wait for it….B*Witced performing at their Church of STP: Sink the Pink Ball this Saturday night (the 12th).

[The Glory]
Gay pub, The Glory is an alternative East London pub with a whole host of performers, partygoers and local creatives that oozes showbizness, screenings, performance art, cabaret, quizzes, live music and unique special events almost every night of the week. Opened in 2014 by two of the founding members of Gay Bingo, legendary drag queens Jonny Woo and John Sizzle, ‘Book Chicka Boom’ is its Thursday night open mic phenomenon, while FEMSESH Friday’s is when it really starts to get going…located in The Hole: a black basement of comic queerness and dancing, best served, of course, in strappy heels. ‘Rebooting and re-routing London’s queer scene’, we’d definitely recommend Sashay Away-ing to this one!

3. Bar Wotever, Royal Vauxhall Tavern

Located in a now Grade II listed building, and in one of the UK’s oldest gay venues – which has of its own a technicolour of attractions, including Duckie, a Saturday night cabaret show that has been running for more than 10 years – every Tuesday Bar Wotever takes over and brings London an evening of live music, cabaret, talks, films and spoken word by some of the best LGBT and Queer performers around. Next week it’s Rosie Garland (novelist, poet and singer)/Rosie Lugosi (Garland’s twisted alter-ego, The Lesbian Vampire Queen), and Jonathan Collins (a 20 year old Bisexual Transvestite Gothic Metalhead who engages in Polyamarous relationships) taking the lead. Bar Wotever, being the friendly lot that they are, also welcome new comers to the stage with their open mic slots, for anyone and everyone that wants to be a part of this fabulous community!
